The wide availability and accessibility of shea, made possible by a multi-level supplier base, has given shea a competitive edge in the CBE market – which accounts for over 90% of shea exports. However, to maintain its position, supplier-led efforts to improve parkland productivity is critical in avoiding supply volatility within the shea sector.
